Job Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps & Security Consultant with 1+ year of hands-on experience in CI/CD automation, Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning, Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will help design, implement, automate, monitor, and secure scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines for cloud-based applications.
Role + Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Work closely with development teams to support application deployment, monitoring troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Perform Linux system administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Linux systems, including CPU, memory, disk, processes, networking, services, and system logs.
- Manage Linux users, permissions, packages, services, processes, cron jobs, and basic system configurations.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and implement security controls for infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate DevSecops practices into the DevOps lifecycle while ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Maintain configuration management and automate system configurations using tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Monitor infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and system-related issues to ensure high availability.
- Implement and maintain secure cloud infrastructure following security and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation, reliability, scalability, and infrastructure performance.
Person Specification and Qualifications:
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in DevOps practices, with exposure to Terraform and Cloud Infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Linux commands, processes, services, permissions, networking, logs, and system performance.
- Proficiency in managing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Basic to good scripting knowledge using Shell, Bash, or Python.
- Good understanding of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Good understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, VPC, security groups, encryption, and compliance.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Basic understanding of Git and version control systems.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Plus Points (Nice-to-Have)
- Terraform Associate (HashiCorp) certification.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Security+ or equivalent security certification.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible.
- Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes administration.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar monitoring tools.
- Basic understanding of Networking concepts, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, Load Balancing, and VPNs.
- Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps tools and practices.
